Momentous day in the history of Tornagrain
Today was a momentous day in the history of Tornagrain. It is not unusual for there to be a number of completions on one day at Tornagrain, but today has been very special. Five properties were due to complete, but one of them now holds the title of being the 100th unit to settle at Tornagrain.
We are delighted that all our residents have chosen Tornagrain as their home, but completing on the 100th unit shows how far the development has come. Our first residents moved in in March 2017 and since then Tornagrain has not only grown in population, but with the facilities that are available. Our first Tornagrain babies, their older siblings and the neighbouring children now have a natural play area to enjoy. Residents have been giving their tennis rackets an airing on the two courts on Hillhead Road. Our first allotmentees have been attending to their plots in preparation for planting. Stramash Outdoor Nursery have been operational since the start of the autumn term and will soon move in to their permanent home in Mid Coul Court. Two further commercial users will be opening shortly, one of which is a Pilates Studio.
With a further 39 reservations, the community of Tornagrain is continuing to grow. 2019 will be an exciting year for the project and the community as we continue to look towards the future. However, today is a day to look back just for a moment and see how far we have come.
